ABOUT ME
Hi! I am so glad that you’re here. Seeking therapy is a huge step, and is one of the very best ways that you can care for yourself and your relationships. I love working one on one with people to rediscover their values, and connect with joy, health, and relationships. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Baylor University, and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Texas. My areas of focus are eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem/self-worth, and perinatal conditions. Prior to opening my private practice, I spent several years working in an eating disorder treatment center with patients at higher levels of care and I am comfortable managing that process if needed. I have collaborative, working relationships with psychiatrists and dieticians, and value a team-based approach.
After having my third child, I expanded my practice to include postpartum anxiety and postpartum depression, and the unique challenges of adjusting to motherhood and parenting. I love coming alongside moms to support them in this incredible, but sometimes very challenging, season.
I work with older teens and adults, typically ages 17 and up.
I am also fully trained in EMDR and incorporate it, as appropriate and desired, into our sessions.
When I’m not counseling, I love running, hanging out with my husband and 4 kids, trying out new restaurants, and planning our next trip. I can’t wait to meet you!
